DISCOVER THE COLLECTIBLES
FIFTH CAPSULE COLLECTION: EIGHT VINTAGE REVERSO SHOWS PRESENTED IN NEW YORK
- The Collectibles Exhibition: The New York store unveils a selection of collectible pieces as part of an exclusive event held from February 5 to 23, 2026.
- The Reverso in the spotlight: a capsule collection composed of 8 rare and sought-after watches dating from the 1930s
- Authenticated and restored creations : meticulous care provided by the watchmakers in the Manufacture’s restoration workshop.

Jaeger-LeCoultre unveils the fifth The Collectibles capsule collection, a selection of eight exceptional Reverso watches dating from 1931 to 1937, now available for purchase. Of all the iconic creations produced by the Maison during the “golden age” of 20th-century watchmaking, the Reverso stands out for its timeless and instantly recognizable design. With its rich architectural and ornamental heritage marked by the Art Deco style, New York City provides the perfect setting for the presentation of these highly sought-after pieces, which also embody the spirit and codes of this artistic movement.

THE COLLECTIBLES PROGRAMME
The Collectibles is Jaeger-LeCoultre’s in-house program dedicated to the research, restoration, and sale of rare watches in excellent condition, produced between the mid-1920s and the early 1970s. Celebrating nearly 200 years of creativity, it highlights the heritage of La Grande Maison through a carefully curated selection of 17 iconic models – from the Duoplan and Reverso to the Geophysic, Futurematic, and Memovox Polaris. Presented in exclusive capsule collections around the world, these creations invite collectors to become the new guardians of their history. This commitment to heritage preservation is made possible by Jaeger-LeCoultre’s dedicated restoration workshop, one of the few directly integrated within a Manufacture. There, ten master watchmakers breathe new life into each timepiece, overhauling their movements, hand-reconstructing their components, and searching for their original parts in impressive archives, all while preserving the character and patina they have developed over time. Once restored and certified to museum standards, each watch can finally write the next chapter of a story it began in the Vallée de Joux.

A CAPSULE COLLECTION THAT SHOWCASE THE REVERSO
The fifth The Collectibles capsule collection explores the decade since the launch of the Reverso, highlighting the elements that have shaped its unforgettable aesthetic.

Eight watches that have written the history of the Reverso:
- A Reverso 1931 with a black dial – then considered “the dial of the future” – was a bold choice at a time when silver was the norm. Its railway track minute markers and trapezoidal hour markers inspired the current Reverso Tribute, a testament to the deep connection between the original and the most modern iterations.
- A rare two-tone Reverso in steel and 9-karat yellow gold from 1936, powered by the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 410, the first movement developed specifically for the collection by the Maison. Introduced in 1933, it incorporated, for the first time, a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock. While the Manufacture had already begun developing its own mechanisms when the initial idea for the Reverso was conceived, it was initially equipped with Tavannes movements – calibers 063 and 064 for men and calibers 050 and 051 for women. This was an essential, but temporary, solution to accelerate its commercialization. Historically, two-tone cases allowed for a more robust watch than those made entirely of gold by combining this precious metal with harder metals.
- The final men’s piece is a 1937 Reverso with a small seconds subdial, housing the Calibre 413, the fourth Reverso movement designed in-house. Its black dial bears the name JaegerLeCoultre, recalling the historic merger of LeCoultre and Jaeger that year, leaving no doubt as to its production period.
- For their part, the women’s creations demonstrate the collection’s early versatility, which, from its launch, successfully adapted to its entire clientele. A Reverso 1931 Dame combines a 18k white gold case with yellow gold lugs and case. On the dial, the minute track is replaced by hooks at the four corners, a detail still found today on the Reverso One.
- A 1931 Reverso Lady with blued hands, a watchmaking tradition involving altering the color of the metal by heating it. A rare double signature on the dial indicates that limited quantities of this version were delivered to a select group of prestigious retailers, whose names are also inscribed.
- The collection also includes a highly original women’s piece: a Reverso 1931 fitted with a cord. Traditionally crafted from calfskin leather, this slim strap is presented here in chrome and attached to each side of the case with distinctive lugs. – Finally, two Reverso 1931 Dame models framed by geometric hooks and mounted on black or brown calfskin leather straps. They capture the graphic language of the era, notably with a black dial then considered remarkably modern.

Each watch offered through The Collectibles program comes with an excerpt from the Jaeger-LeCoultre archives, a complimentary copy of The Collectibles book, and a new, handcrafted leather strap chosen to complement the watch’s style, unless the timepiece features an integrated metal bracelet. When possible, the original box, papers, and strap are also included.
