“Air France, a story of elegance” at L’Envol des Pionniers in Toulouse.

The exhibition opens to the general public on February 12, 2025.

Along the way, visitors are immersed in the world of the airline and its timeless values. More than 170 rare objects, including around fifteen couture uniforms worn by flight crews and models of legendary aircraft, are on display over 300m2 of exhibition space. An opportunity to rediscover the strong relationship between Toulouse and the airline, in the heart of the historic buildings operated by Air France for 70 years.

An exhibition designed and produced by L’Envol des Pionniers in partnership with Air France with the participation of the Air France Museum, the Biscarrosse Seaplane Museum, the Toulouse Ancient Wings Association and the Laté 28 Association with the support of MGEN, Banque Populaire Occitane and Toulouse Pioneers.

ABOUT THE FLIGHT OF THE PIONEERS AND SEMECCEL

Dedicated to the early days of aeronautics, the creation of the Lignes Aériennes Latécoère and Aéropostale and then the birth of Air France, L’Envol des Pionniers is located in Toulouse Montaudran, on the historic site from where the Aéropostale planes left for Africa and South America between 1918 and 1933. L’Envol des Pionniers brings back to life this human adventure that contributed to the birth of civil aviation to the point of making Toulouse one of the world capitals of aeronautics. L’Envol des Pionniers is a Toulouse Métropole facility, opened at the end of 2018 with the support of the Occitanie Pyrénées-Méditerranée Region and the FEDER and with the participation of the Ministry of National Education and partners Altran, Ailes Anciennes de Toulouse and the INA.

L’Envol des Pionniers is managed by SEMECCEL, a mixed economy company created on the initiative of the Toulouse City Hall, whose shareholders are Toulouse Métropole, the Toulouse City Hall, the Occitanie Pyrénées-Méditerranée Region, CNES, Airbus Defence and Space, Météo-France (founding members of the Cité de l’espace) as well as Thales Alenia Space, the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations and the Caisse d’Epargne de Midi-Pyrénées. L’Envol des Pionniers’ partners include MGEN, La Banque Populaire Occitane, ENEDIS, Aura Aero, Latécoère, Delair, OpenAirlines and is also supported by the association Les Amis de L’Envol des Pionniers.
