Last year, the BMW Group caused a stir when it presented the  BMW Vision Neue Klasse . With this project, the high-end manufacturer wanted to show what the next generation of vehicles from the BMW brand could look like.

The Vision vehicle features a clear design language, reduced to the essentials, with generous surfaces and a few striking lines, as well as an innovative information display across the entire width of the windshield. Italian premium supplier Alcantara SpA supplied its high-quality Alcantara material for parts of the cream interior, giving the vehicle a summery, sporty touch.

The BMW Vision Neue Klasse was presented to the public for the first time at the IAA MOBILITY 2023 in Munich, to great success. More than half a million people witnessed a successful show that was represented throughout the city. The IAA MOBILITY is a signal of new beginnings, the automotive industry shows the strength of will and the capacity for innovation necessary to make the transformation towards sustainable mobility.

“  Alcantara shares this spirit and is committed to a sustainable future  ,” says Andrea Boragno, president of Alcantara SpA. “  Alcantara reached an important milestone in 2009 by receiving  carbon neutrality certification for the first time . We are very proud of it. This success is the result of the company’s “from cradle to grave” approach and its commitment to offsetting its entire impact in the form of CO 2 equivalents  thanks to carbon credits from certified offset projects and verified. Alcantara, a pioneer in sustainability, recently published  its 14th Certified  Sustainability Report , reaffirming its commitment to the highest levels of transparency and a verified approach to sustainability. »

Both established brands and newcomers to the automotive scene rely on Alcantara, which was particularly visible at IAA MOBILITY.
