Ce mardi 24 mai 2023, le département Archéologie & Arts d’Orient d’Artcurial dispersait, en plusieurs chapitres, les 180 lots de sa vente dédiée à l’Archéologie et aux Arts de l’Islam et de l’Inde.
Face à une salle comble et sous le marteau de Matthieu Fournier, la vacation a totalisé 1 898 004 € / 2 041 683 $ frais inclus.

Un très rare Coran d’époque abbasside s’est notamment envolé pour 406 720 € / 437 509 $ frais inclus réalisant ainsi la plus haute adjudication. Enfin après une belle bataille d’enchères en salle et par téléphone, la statue Stéléphore agenouillée de Pendouaou en Calcaire a quant à elle trouvé preneur pour 301 760 € / 324 603 $ frais inclus.
