Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche welcomes Daniel Buren for a unique Carte Blanche – GALLERIA CONTINUA.
Aux Beaux Carrés: Travaux in situ

For its ninth Carte Blanche and with the support of GALLERIA CONTINUA, Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche invites Daniel Buren. The French artist recognized on the international scene will offer Aux Beaux Carrés: in situ works, an exhibition in two Acts playing with the square shape inspired by the tiles of the famous glass roofs of the Bon Marché Rive Gauche.
Acte I from January 9 to February 18, 2024
Daniel Buren will take over the department store with several pieces designed specifically for the place: two monumental works in situ under the central glass roofs, two Exploded Cabins on the second floor, one work in situ in the central escalator and others on the windows of the rue de Sèvres.
Acte II from June 30 to August 15, 2024
Daniel Buren will focus on the two central atriums and the windows on rue de Sèvres. He will exhibit new pieces there, always from the same square. A walk in two stages will therefore be proposed, based on a play of shapes, movements, colors and lights which will be expressed here on a very large scale.
