Minase is launching a new limited series of 25 pieces: Horizon GEN DLC.

In Japanese, GEN is written with the kanji character “玄”, which offers several meanings such as depth, darkness, mystery or the color black. These terms perfectly describe the new limited series, a Horizon covered in deep and shiny black DLC (Diamond like Carbon), alternating satin and shiny finishes.

Minase chose the Horizon model as the ideal expression of this DLC finish. Inspired by the watch’s similarity to the horizon line stretching over the sea and designed with clean and simple lines. The design of its sides is influenced by the quintessential Japanese sword, the Horizon watch combines the calm of the ocean with the strength of the Katana (Samurai sword). The case and the bracelet are in total symbiosis. In addition, the anti-reflective sapphire crystal has been cut and polished to perfectly follow the curve of the watch. The result is a timepiece that adapts perfectly to the wrist.

Swiss movement and Japanese know-how

Horizon GEN DLC is available on a black rubber strap with folding clasp. Like all MINASE watches, it is equipped with a Swiss ETA 2892-2 movement customized for the brand. The polyhedral crown bears the brand logo, which pays homage to the origins of the parent company, Kyowa, a supplier of high-end components active in global watchmaking since 1963.
