Pavillon Afronova Returns to Cannes for Its 7th Edition. The Afro Creative Pulse Expands with Global Voices, Premieres, and a New Era.

Cannes, May 2026 — Formerly known as Pavillon Afriques, Pavillon Afronova returns for its 7th edition at the Cannes Film Festival (Marché du Film), from May 12 to 21, 2026, marking a powerful new chapter in its evolution.

Following its recent rebranding , Pavillon Afronova embodies an expanded vision of Africa’s creative industries and their global influence. More than a name change, Afronova signals a dynamic shift toward a broader, more interconnected ecosystem, bridging cinema with fashion, music, technology, and cultural innovation.

At the heart of this 7th edition stands acclaimed actress, director, and author Aïssa Maïga, who joins as Ambassador, bringing her voice, commitment, and international presence to amplify the pavilion’s mission.
