Last night, TikTok revealed the three winners of the first edition of the  #TikTokFashionCompetition !

This sewing competition brought together users passionate about fashion and styling and was a great success, recording more than 6,000 applications.

With the  #TikTokFashionCompetition, TikTok helped awaken vocations and reveal the talents of tomorrow !

The winners were rewarded for the quality of their work and their exceptional creativity following an exclusive fashion show held on March 7 at the iconic La Samaritaine in Paris.

This event, which brought together the creations of the  #TikTokFashionCompetition candidates, brought to life the pieces made at the end of the creative process of the competition which took place over 14 weeks.

The jury, composed in particular of Jean-Charles Le Cerf-Drenic, deputy general director of ESMOD and  Alice  Vaillant , fashion designer, awarded the following prizes:

  • Best Execution :  was awarded to Inès Demmouche –  @demmpb . Inès chose the theme of violence and its current extent in the world that she wishes to denounce through her creation.
  • Best Creativity  won by Robin Lordereau –  @robin.lrdr . Master of upcycling, he makes clothes with grandma’s sheets, as he says himself. For the competition he made a creation for hiking, using tent canvas and the result was great!
  • Grand prize  awarded to Antoine Guerin –  @antoine.guerin . Always passionate about sewing, Antoine took part in the  #TikTokFashionCompetition adventure  to show his talent. This award reinforces his desire to continue and why not launch definitively into this profession which drives him so much.

L’Oréal Paris, a prestigious partner of the event, greatly contributed to its success by creating the hairstyles and beauty of the models who paraded on the  Samaritaine stage , thus enhancing the creations of the 38 finalists.

The competition, launched last October, offered aspiring stylists and couturiers a platform to share their passion and give free rein to their creativity by designing and making unique pieces. With more than 6,000 participants and 8,500 videos created, the initiative has sparked real creative excitement within the TikTok community. The creation videos, shared with the hashtag  #TikTokFashionCompetition , made it possible to follow everyone’s creative process in an immersive way, thus reinforcing the passion for fashion on the platform.

The  #TikTokFashionCompetition not only revealed promising talents, but also reaffirmed TikTok’s position as the go-to platform for fashion and couture. 

The spectacular growth of the hashtag  #couture  in France recorded an increase of 54% in views and 46% in the number of content published between July 2022 and July 2023, testifying to the significant enthusiasm of the TikTok community in the field of the fashion.

TikTok continues to support and celebrate creativity in all its forms, encouraging its community to express themselves and share their talent with the world.

The five-member jury was made up of fashion designer Alice Vaillant, the General Director of ESMOD Jean-Charles Le Cerf Drenic, the journalist Savéria Mendella, the General Director of Nona Source, Romain Brabo, the TikTok creator Sarah Monteil.
