Yann Couvreur opens his first café in Miami !

Opened at the end of March, this lively café, run by famous Parisian pastry chef Yann Couvreur, brings the French art of living to Miami’s artistic Wynwood district.

Chef Yann Couvreur, a French pastry chef renowned for his creations that are both refined and accessible, opened his first American restaurant at the end of March, the Yann Couvreur Café in the Wynwood district of Miami.

This expansion marks a significant milestone for the internationally renowned chef, who currently has 17 stores in Paris, Seoul, Dubai, Riyadh, Doha and other cities around the world.

SIGNATURE

The menu highlights the best of local, seasonal ingredients, always without the addition of artificial flavors or preservatives.

“As a chef, my vision for this cafe is to blend my culinary identity with the vibrant culture of American cuisine. By bringing my expertise to the United States, I intend to infuse American classics with a unique French twist, creating an unforgettable menu that celebrates both tradition and innovation,” says  Chef Yann Couvreur.

Each customer is entitled to a welcome – a hot madeleine – before discovering a menu of French creations with a modern twist: the “Salmon tartine” with Appalachian smoked salmon, lemon cream cheese and local Superiors Farms micro-algae on toasted multi-seed sourdough bread; the “Tuna Melt” with grilled brioche, cheddar cheese and tuna mixture from Yann Couvreur Café; the traditional “Baguette and Butter”; or the caramelized “French Toast”; the Niçoise salad served at the table; and Chef Couvreur’s favorite, “Boiled Egg” accompanied by brioche toasts garnished with Petrossian caviar. For desserts, we find the classics of pastry with its famous Millefeuille with blue vanilla, and other delicacies.

After establishing himself as one of the best-known pastry chefs of his generation, Yann Couvreur sets his sights on Miami, with the aim of replicating his success in this dynamic American culinary landscape.

“For this unique destination, traditional French codes are reinterpreted to set the tone for the brand to flourish, embracing the more festive spirit of Miami found in the colorful mirror wall as well as the café frontage that was imagined in the colors of the vibrant city in a more graphic spirit,” explains  the architect and designer of the Yann Couvreur Café, Charles Zana.

In his café-restaurant,  the largest ever opened since the creation of the brand, Yann Couvreur goes beyond pastries and offers refined dining throughout the day, with daily breakfast, lunch and brunch , as well as the possibility of ordering online for delivery and collection.

Yann Couvreur Café is an authentic embodiment of  the French art of living , perfectly integrating this serene way of life in all its facets, including design, cuisine and hospitality.

The 232m2 restaurant-café, designed by renowned French architect and interior designer Charles Zana, has beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces. The place is warm and modern with natural materials in warm tones, such as travertine and birch.

The walls, decorated with Italian ceramics, open onto the kitchen and the golden travertine counters prettily decorated with six draped light fixtures which reflect the codes of the cake molds.

And then ?

Yann Couvreur Pâtisserie plans to open another location in the Coconut Grove and Aventura neighborhoods of Miami, before expanding to other cities, including New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

“Wynwood was a no-brainer for us  – the first time we walked into the neighborhood, we fell in love with the diversity, culture and atmosphere. Recalling the neighborhood in which we opened our first store – Belleville in the 10th arrondissement of Paris – it was obvious for us to open our first flagship café in such a unique neighborhood,”  says Benjamin Guedj, founder and managing director of the business.  “I even made the decision to move to the United States – moving operations to this city shows our commitment to taking our globally recognized coffee experience to new heights.”
